Under limited supervision, plans, directs, controls, administers and supervises the financial activities and programs for the CPW including cash management, A/P, payroll, GL, P&L, internal control, investments and bonds, Supervises the direction of billing, customer service, credit/collections, A/R, meter reading, inventory control and purchasing. Consulting with the General Manager and Board of Commissioners concerning CPW financial affairs, development of financial operating policies and procedures, and CPW financial goals and objectives. Managing and directing the overall financial and general accounting operations and reporting for CPW, which includes financial controls. Exercises independent judgment in applying established generally accepted accounting practices and municipal accounting principles and practices. Providing information recommendations to management regarding financial processes and procedures. Reports to the General Manager.

| Education and/or Training Requirements: |
|
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field supplemented by six (6) years previous experience and/or training that includes governmental accounting, auditing, and computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, Certification as Public Accountant required.
