JOB TITLE:               GAS DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR

Job Description:
Under limited supervision; supervises, plans, and directs the daily operations of Greenwood CPW’s natural gas distribution system, including gas pipeline construction, maintenance and operations, cathodic protection, and other related activities.  Reviews work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy.  Reports to the Assistant Manager.

Education and/or training requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or related field supplemented by six to nine years of progressively responsible administrative and technical experience in public utilities, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Must become Operator qualified according to the Department of Transportation and Office of Pipeline Safety Operator Qualification rule within one year of hire.

JOB GRADE: Grade 35  ($64,318 – 90,048)
