A joint meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Public Works and the Greenwood County Council was held on Monday, July 21, 2008
at 6:30 p.m., at the Central Operations Center in Greenwood, SC.

I. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Monaghan.
The statement of compliance with the notification provision of the Freedom of Information Act was given.
Discussion:
Assistant Manager Barnett provided a slide presentation of CPW services. Chairman Templeton expressed appreciation for the joint meetings and partnership between the City of Greenwood, Greenwood County, CPW, and GMD. He further expressed the need to communicate for the benefit of rate payers and annexation. Chairman Monaghan opened the floor for discussion which included the following topics: utility needs in areas around south Greenwood; allowing the lake area to pay advalorem taxes to help cover sewer extensions to the lake; the status of the dam; and the status of the Nations Road water project.
